As part of a continuous improvement program at Hahndorf Soccer Club, we have just had the pitch over-sown with a range of winter active grasses. For that reason the pitch isn’t being used for training or games until late in March to give the seed a chance to germinate and establish. This pitch improvement project has been enabled by the recent installation of underground sprinklers over summer, another significant project at the club. The winter active grasses will help improve the coverage and maintenance of grass through the soccer season, improving play and enabling more use of the pitch through the season. Thanks to Belair Turf Management for their professional approach and getting the job finished on time – and to Rob for keeping the water up to the new grasses.
